phpBB is a very popular forum script. It is very easy to install and then use. There are many language packs, styles (design themes) and mods to download for free. It is not so security-aware. For example, the original script package does not allow the board administrator to record the IP addresses of the visitors. So he or she must revise it for themselves if necessary.
