IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol)
It's a protocol used to receive e-mail messages from a mail server. It's more advanced and newer than POP. Using an IMAP e-mail client, a user can not just retrieve messages but also search contents by keywords inside folders remotely without having to retrieve all the messages.
